Portugal boss Luiz Felipe Scolari has rejected an approach from Birmingham City.
The Sun says Scolari, 59, was due to fly in for talks with Brum's co-owner David Sullivan about the vacancy created by Steve Bruce's departure.
Sullivan - who has already been turned down by Martin Jol and Marcello Lippi - was set to offer Scolari a whopping £4.8million package.
But the Brazilian cancelled within hours of Steve McClaren's England sacking.
A source in Portugal said: "He doesn't want to leave Portugal now, although he might be interested if England came back."
