Mark Schwarzer is reportedly set to sign a two-year contract extension with Fulham. The Australian goalkeeper has been keen to move away from Craven Cottage since the European summer with a shift to Arsenal on the cards but is now close to committing his future to the Cottagers.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger had toyed with the idea of bringing another gloveman to Emirates Stadium but is struggling to keep the four he has currently got happy so a January go for Schwarzer seems unlikely.
It is believed that the 38-year old is pleased with Fulham boss Mark Hughes' plans for the club and is very close to penning a fresh deal.
