Mark Schwarzer has revealed that Jose Mourinho convinced him to join Chelsea because he could offer game time.
The 40-year old Australian goalkeeper joined the Blues after leaving Fulham recently with many questioning his move because of Petr Cech's stranglehold on the gloves at Stamford Bridge.
But Schwarzer has suggested that Mourinho did promise him minutes as Chelsea prepare for another busy schedule in the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and Capital One Cup competitions this season.
"Before I spoke to the manager I had some doubts, but once I spoke to the manager those doubts disappeared pretty quickly," Schwarzer said.
"The amount of games Chelsea play, there is going to be opportunities to play games and that's also important for me."
