Manchester United veteran Paul Scholes says the current squad is determined to keep Manchester City in their place.
Scholes, a veteran of nine championship successes with Manchester United, insists the Old Trafford giants have no intention of letting their local rivals get the upper hand.
He said: "I don't think this club will let that happen. We've been strong for a number of years now.
"There is no doubt that, in years to come, there is a great chance City are going to win trophies. So we just have to make sure we look after ourselves and are good enough."
