Paul Scholes has signed a new one-year deal with Manchester United.
The 38-year old midfielder came out of retirement in January to be one of the Red Devils' best players in the second part of the season and has now signed on until the end of the 2012/13 season.
Scholes was back to his best in central midfielder for Sir Alex Ferguson and was almost the catalyst for a 20th league title but United fell short on the final day of the season with neighbours Manchester City clinching the Premiership in dramatic fashion.
Joining Scholes in signing a new deal is 22-year old goalkeeper Ben Amos who will now remain at Old Tafford until at least 2015.
