Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel believes teammate Jamie Vardy is exactly what the England national team needs.
Vardy scored in his eighth consecutive Premier League fixture as the Foxes defeated West Bromwich Albion 3-2 on Saturday.
"I think he's exactly what international football needs," Schmeichel toldSky Sports' Goals On Sunday.
"It can get very tactical and predictable but he's unpredictable. He definitely deserves his chance to play down the middle [for England] and, for me, he's the best striker in the Premier League right now.
"He drags us through and sets the tone every game. When you clear the defence or hit long balls, he can still make something happen.
"He chases everything down and never gives up and I think that's what international football needs."
