Scharner: Wigan relegation battle turning me grey!

Paul Scharner says Wigan Athletic's relegation battle has turned his hair grey!

The Latics are again in survival mode after victory at West Bromwich Albion.

Scharner, 33, who spent four years at Wigan from 2006-2010 and returned on loan from German side Hamburg in January, said: "It looks like Wigan are always waiting for the last game of the season.

"Maybe they need to keep the season exciting! If we're mid-table no one is excited. They are always looking to fight against relegation.

"Just look how many grey hairs I've got - that's from Wigan!

"We said before the game it's a must-win game and we won.

"We still have three games left to play and we have to carry on and it's just like the song says: 'We are believers'!"
