Schalke winger Rabbi Matondo is happy with his decision to leave Manchester City in January.

It is a path to the top that Matondo believes others will now follow after seeing the success Sancho has had in getting a chance to play.

He told The Sun: "I wouldn't be surprised if more players came over as they are offering more opportunities for young players to play regular football.

"If they are not playing regularly they are around the first team.

"It could grow, with German players coming through a lot more with the competition. You might see players getting pushed more in the Premier League to keep them from going abroad.

"It could change around Europe with how players are coming through."
