Schalke winger Rabbi Matondo valued his time working with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

Matondo left City for S04 in January.

He told The Sun: “The way he explains things, his details. You have to work hard — you can see that with how City play, they are always working hard.

"In each session you have to be on it because he wants everything to be perfect. You can see that when Manchester City play, everything is perfect.

"Everything he says is precise, on or off the ball. You can see when they lose it, players are on it straightaway. Positioning is important. You have to be on it and focused positionally, know what you are saying and what is going on."
