Schalke will be reluctant to sell Leon Goretzka in January, it has been revealed.
The Germany midfielder, off contract in June, is being linked with Manchester United and Arsenal this week.
Despite his contract situation, Schalke are unlikely to sell in January, says BILD, due to clauses in his deal.
Former club Bochum is due a hefty cut of Goretzka's fee, along with Jörg Neubauer, the midfielder's adviser. Goretzka, himself, also has a slice of the deal.
So it makes better sense for S04 to keep hold of Goretzka to the end of the season before allowing him to leave for nothing in June.
