Schalke are moving for Newcastle United midfielder Matty Longstaff.

The Daily Star says the St. James' Park man, younger brother of Toon ace Sean Longstaff, is out of contract as of this week and is attracting interest from a number of teams in England and Europe.

Italians Udinese are already in for Longstaff, who has so far rejected a new deal with the Magpies after failing to secure regular first-team action.

And now Schalke have entered the equation and are ready to match whatever terms are being offered by the Serie A club

Longstaff, 20, has had no more than a bit part role with Steve Bruce's men in 2019-20.
