Schalke coach Felix Magath admits they could sell striker Kevin Kuranyi this month.

Sunderland and Birmingham City have been linked with the Germany international.

"Our priority remains to get Schalke on a stable financial basis," Magath said. "Our wage structure is based on a club playing in the Champions League.

"If we do qualify for it, and earn around 25 million euros, then we can talk to Kuranyi.

"If not, then it is unlikely that we keep hold of him."
