Maurizio Sarri wants Chelsea to work the Serie A transfer market in January.
The former Napoli coach is keen on two young players currently plying their trade in Italy this season, says Corriere dello Sport.
A new centre-forward and centre-half are top priorities for Sarri and the Italian wants Chelsea to work the Serie A market to find a solution.
His top two targets are Juventus defender Daniele Rugani and Genoa's goalscoring sensation Krzysztof Piatek.
Rugani worked with Sarri at Empoli and has so far refused to consider a new contract offer tabled by Juve. Piatek, meanwhile, has also been linked with Barcelona after scoring eight goals in six games this season.
