Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri took aim at their mentality after defeat at Inter Milan.
The Romans lost 3-1, with Sarri stating his players were intimidated by the San Siro support.
He said: "We can't think of winning in Milan without fighting fiercely. As soon as the stadium screamed at us, we gave up. After 70` good level, the external environment has taken on a different mentality and we have become weaker, this must not happen.
"We must also be lucid in our analysis, we must work hard to reach Inter's level, both on the pitch and at the club level. However, if at the beginning of the year they had told us that we would have found ourselves in this situation with six games to go, we would certainly have been pleased.
"It wasn't easy before and it's not impossible now, we have to put ourselves back together and think about scoring as many points as possible between now and the end. I'm confident because this team has always reacted after a complicated period, so I expect an important response in the next games."
