Maurizio Sarri does not believe his side are title contenders this season.

The Blues are too far behind Liverpool and Manchester City in his view.

The table sees Chelsea in 4th place with 37 points, which puts them eight and seven points behind those two clubs respectively.

And Sarri does not see such a gap as being recoverable, given the form of those teams.

"No, I have never seen Chelsea as title contenders for the PL [this season]," said Sarri in his press conference.

"There are two teams ahead of us."
