Sarri admits Napoli still adjusting to Higuain sale

Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri says they're still adjusting to the sale of Gonzalo Higuain.

Higuain's controversial sale to Juventus saw Napoli lose almost a half of their goal tally from last season.

"We had a transfer campaign of prospecting, and you have to see this prospecting in terms of how much it'll cost us in the short term." Sarri told Mediaset Premium.

“We signed quality players but very young ones, and it'll take patience to wait for them.

“We'll see if in we can remain competitive in the meantime, but it was certainly a recruitment drive that secured a bright future for Napoli.

“Unfortunately [Arek Milik's start] is a projection made after two games, and it has no meaning.

“The reality is that the team's overall value has increased, and when they're all fit, the squad will be stronger, but I don't know if our absolute value has increased because Higuain, who scored 36 goals, is a heavy loss."
