Sanyang excited to sign with Seattle Sounders

Amadou Sanyang is excited about the fact he is now a Seattle Sounders player.

The 19-year old Gambian joined the MLS club on the weekend after being released by Toronto FC and has been immediately impressed by his new surroundings.

"First of all I want to give thanks to the mighty Allah, and secondly I'm just excited to be here. Good practice. Good environment. The fans are fantastic. I'm just excited," he told the Seattle Times.

Sanyang said that Sounders winger, and fellow Gambian, Sanna Nyassi urged Sanyang to make the move to Seattle and he is delighted that it has already worked out well.

"Before coming here I had a little chat with Sanna Nyassi," he added. "He's been telling me lots of good things about it: good management and the fans are fantastic. I think in Major League Soccer everybody sees that. It's just a good environment for a young player to come in and try to compete.

"I've been here for like a couple of weeks, so I've seen good things and good management. I'm excited to be part of the family."
