Former Roma defender Davide Santon believes coach Jose Mourinho is capable of transforming the club.

Mourinho led Roma to the European Conference League title last season - a first trophy in Europe for the Giallorossi.

Santon said of his former Inter Milan coach: "Mou was the one who launched me and the one I ended up with.

"I'm sorry not to have been part of the Roma squad, but some club choices have been made, which I understand and which did not include me.

"With words, Mou is always number one. The players love him, Josè makes himself loved. Even if he has won a lot, he is still hungry and passionate for what he does. He can win again, I think his dream is the Scudetto with the Giallorossi."
