New Manchester City boss Mark Hughes' first battle with Manchester United rival Sir Alex Ferguson is set to be over his old Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz.
Santa Cruz, 26, said: "The interest from United is real.
"But I'm busy now so my representatives will handle anything if there is a concrete offer."
The £10million-rated hitman is also on the wishlist of former boss Hughes, who this week left Ewood Park for Manchester City.
