San Jose Earthquakes have confirmed that Innocent Emeghara is to be sidelined for up to six months.
The 25-year old Nigerian-born Swiss striker, who joined from Azerbaijani club Qarabag prior to the 2015 MLS season, has undergone successful surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee.
Innocent sustained the injury in last weekend's 1-1 draw with Real Salt Lake and will now be out of action until at least the end of August.
