Sampdoria striker Antonio Cassano says he isn't in the Italy squad because Marcello Lippi is afraid of him!

Cassano is currently out of the Samp squad also.

Speaking at the San Remo music festival, Cassano said: "The Coaches don't want me. The Italy boss doesn't want me. I reckon that I scare them."

Asked if he had one regret in his career, the former Bari starlet replied: "I wouldn't throw my shirt at the referee.

"I haven't changed. I am still a clown."
