Sampdoria president Riccardo Garrone refused to be downbeat after last night's 2-0 defeat to Fiorentina.

The loss saw Samp slip from the Serie A leadership, but Garrone says: "I arrived late, but they told me that in the first-half my team played well.

"Unfortunately, you cannot always win and now we prepare for the game with Inter."
