Hull City are battling to keep hold of Abel Fernandez.

Sampdoria are reported to be sniffing around the 25-year-old.

Hernandez netted 22 goals for the Tigers last season as they secured an immediate return to the top flight, but La Gazzetta dello Sport have claimed the Uruguay international's agent has held talks with Sampdoria this week about a possible move.

The Genoa-based side finished 15th in Serie A last season and only scored 48 goals in a disappointing campaign, so are looking to add some firepower to the squads with Hernandez fitting the bill.
