Sampdoria coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is coy over the prospect of a reunion with Everton striker Samuel Eto'o.

The pair worked together with at Inter Milan.

"Luis Muriel is the only player I wanted to replace (Manolo) Gabbiadini. He did great things at Lecce, then lost his way at Udinese, also through his own fault. Now he'll come here, we will try to get the best out of him.

"Did I have a phone conversation with Eto'o? No, this week the only person I spoke to was my wife..." smirked Mihajlovic.

"As you know, I don't talk about players who are not in my squad."
