Sampdoria chief Beppe Marotta has confirmed their interest in Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain.

Samp are in talks with Real over a permanent deal for Antonio Cassano and Marotta added: "We like Higuain, like many other players. But his eventual arrival depends on many factors."
