Sampdoria remain confident of securing Antonio Cassano in a permanent deal from Real Madrid.

The striker was at his dazzling best in yesterday's 3-0 victory over Champions League rivals Udinese and Samp chief Beppe Marotta said: "We're 75 per cent confident he will stay. Everything will be decided within a month."

Cassano struck yesterday and said: "I dedicate my goal to the fans."
