Sampdoria have agreed personal terms with Antonio Cassano ahead of signing him permanently from Real Madrid.

After lengthy negotiations with his agent, Beppe Bozzo, Samp chief Beppe Marotta has secured an agreement over a five-year deal worth £1.5 million-a-season with Cassano.

For their part, Real are holding out for the £3.75 million they agreed in Cassano's original loan deal, however, Samp want to talk down the asking price.
