Salley nets first goal in China as Shaanxi Chanba cruise

Shaanxi Chanba defensive midfielder Jonas Salley was on the scoresheet for the first time in China as he helped his club to a 5-0 demolition of Changsha Ginde on the weekend.

The Ivorian-born Australian rounded off proceedings with a 90th minute goal as Shaanxi climbed up to 7th on the Chinese Super League table.

Former Inter Milan star Mohamed Kallon kicked off the rout with a 12th minute penalty before midfielder Wang Yun struck twice in seven minutes in the second half to make it 3-0. Mao Jianqing added a fourth in the 88th minute before Salley finally opened his account prior to the final whistle.

In other CSL matches, Shandong Luneng managed to go 11 points clear at the top of the league despite a 1-1 draw with Henan Jianye as second-placed Shanghai Shenua lost 3-1 at Changchun Yatai who were served by a Zhang Wenzhao double.

Nanchang Bayi sent Qingdao Jonoon into the drop zone with a 2-0 result at home, Victor Agali netted a brace as Jiangsu Shuntian defeated Chongqing Lifan 3-0, Hangzhou Lucheng grabbed a handy 1-0 away win at Shenzhen Ruby whilst Liaoning Hongyun & Dalian Shide and Beijing Guoan & Tianjin Teda played out 1-1 draws.
