Salernitana coach Inzaghi on Roma defeat: We're not getting what we deserve

Salernitana coach Pippo Inzaghi insists defeat to Roma was undeserved.

Roma won 2-1, with Salernitana dominating on Monday night.

Inzaghi said: "We are losing matches in photocopy. Making 12 shots against a full Roma team with a Salernitana team reduced to the bare bones.

"The people applauded us and understood. We are already doing more than we can. I don't forget that the referee stopped us in a three against one situation, all the episodes are turning against our favour.

"The transfer market will close soon and important players will return. I am sure that with this spirit and this desire we can achieve our goal.

"I will have the team review the 12 two-shots against Roma and the applause of our people. I repeat: in a situation like this we managed to put many great teams down. It is clear that if you lose 3-4 games in a row with your completely inactive goalkeeper means that there are demerits.

"Not everything can be coached, when you are missing a player who has scored 16 goals there is little you can do and it is difficult to find another element who can make up for Dia's absence. Salernitana is playing well, we offer football, we make ourselves dangerous, we don't get what they deserve."
