Sadler calls for unity at Leicester after Bournemouth defeat

Leicester City caretaker boss Adam Sadler called for unity after defeat at home to Bournemouth.

Philip Billing's goal was the difference at King Power Stadium to leave City 19th in the Premier League with eight games to play.

"We're bitterly disappointed with the result obviously," Sadler told LCFC TV. "It wasn't the performance we were hoping for. It's fair to say you can see there's a lack of confidence in the group at this moment in time.

"It's my job is just to continue to try and support these players and keep them united and keep them focused on the job at hand. We're in a fight. I think we have to acknowledge the fact that we're in a fight.

"We have eight games left and we've got to stick together. We've got to be up for that challenge. Unfortunately, in terms of going behind so close to half-time, it put us a little on the back foot. I was happier with the response in the second half. I think we were much more on the front foot and tried to push to create chances.

"It was hard to get through what was quite a resolute Bournemouth defence. It's now about refocusing the group, trying to remain united, and getting ready for next week's training and next week's game."
