Former AC Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi says Stefano Pioli must recognise his squad lacks individual quality.

However, Sacchi does see hope in the Champions League after Milan reached the quarterfinals.

He told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "Pioli was a strategist last season, when he won a Scudetto that no one imagined possible.

"Then, after the triumph, he encountered some difficulties, also because the quality of individuals is not excellent.

"In the Champions League, however, he provided two excellent performances against Tottenham."
