Russian champions Rubin Kazan have moved up to second on the Group F table of the Champions League after a tough 0-0 draw with Dynamo Kiev.
The result stretched Rubin's unbeaten run to four matches in the competition and gives them a strong chance of qualifying for the round of 16 after it looked certain they would be eliminated before the group stage even begun.
Rubin take on Inter Milan at the San Siro on Wednesday December 8 in the final group stage match and need just a point to book their place in the next stage, provided of course that group leaders Barcelona take at least a point from their match in Kiev.
Inter were defeated 2-0 by Barcelona on Tuesday night, causing them to fall to third on six points, the same as Rubin but the Russians hold second because they have conceded less goals.
