Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando has been named the MLS Player of the Week for Week 7 of the 2014 season.
The 34-year old gloveman put in a stellar performance in RSL's 1-0 victory over Portland Timbers, producing three top-quality saves, as the undefeated Utah outfit came up with their fourth shutout of the campaign.
Rimando was voted in by North American Soccer Reporters (NASR), edging out Sporting Kansas City's Dom Dywer, who netted a brace in their 4-0 win over Montreal Impact.
It was Rimando's second weekly win of the 2014 MLS season after getting the nod in Week 1 against LA Galaxy.
