Former Manchester City boss Joe Royle has warned his old club off Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.
It has been claimed that City are ready to break the bank to land the 22-year-old ahead of their rivals.
But Royle believes the Citizens would be paying over the odds if they had to shell out £70m.
The Everton youth chief told talkSPORT: "To be honest I haven't quite seen a £70million player in Paul Pogba.
"I'm amazed about some of the figures.
"There's no doubt that, if you have Manchester United and Juventus on your CV, then you are top player.
"But £70m, wow, I haven't seen that to be honest."
