Joe Royle has praised Manchester City fans for the way they reacted to Wigan Athletic's shock FA Cup win yesterday.

Former City manager Royle was delighted for the Latics.

He said: "Wigan are a nice Lancashire club with good values. They live on limited support. They were terrific today and the Man City fans who have stayed behind to applaud Wigan, well I applaud them."
