Royal Antwerp are ready to pounce for Steven Defour.
The Belgium midfielder was released from his contract at Burnley yesterday.
The Clarets confirmed the decision was made to help Defour "return to Belgium".
Burnley boss Sean Dyche said, “We have always put the welfare of a player first. Hopefully with a return home Steven can solve his problems and get a chance to continue his career closer to his family.
"Despite his injuries, Steven was an excellent player for us. His qualities are clear and no one will forget what role he played halfway through the 2017/2018 season when we finished 7th in the Premier League."
Antwerp are favourites to snap up the midfielder.
