Aston Villa winger Wayne Routledge is determined to prove himself at Villa Park.

He said: "I know players who get a million-pound-plus transfer usually sign contracts longer than 18 months but I wasn't afraid to do that deal.

"Martin O'Neill has given me a chance and I've got to show him I can repay that, then hopefully he'll want to keep me longer."
