Rotherham chief operating officer Paul Douglas has confirmed caretaker boss Darren Patterson has not applied for the permanent position. Patterson was handed the temporary reins at the League Two when his friend Andy Scott, who recruited him to the club, was sacked last week.
But, with the Millers now set to choose from five men for the position, Patterson will not be one of them.
"Darren was asked to take over as a caretaker and he has done that to the best of his ability under very difficult circumstances and we are very grateful for that." "He hasn't applied," said Douglas.
