Palermo coach Delio Rossi had nothing but praise for his players after their defeat to Inter Milan.
The Rosanero hadn't lost at the Stadio Barbera in 18 months, but fell 2-1 to Samuel Eto'o's brace for Inter.
"Palermo played on a par with the champions of Europe. After an initial 20 minutes under pressure, we nearly scored a second," said the Coach.
"At times games go a different way to how they ought to. Inter play with lots of quick passes, so the tempo must always be kept very high.
"We had also played in the Europa League on Thursday, so there was tiredness, but I cannot complain about the performance from the lads."
