Liam Rosenior insists there's no reason for Reading to drop their heads after falling into the bottom three.
He said: "It's amazing how similar this season has been to last season with Fulham. Everyone said last season that Fulham were safe, that we were too good to go down. It took a moment of luck with a deflection for us at Fulham and we won the game against Liverpool and we were safe.
"I'm sure if we get one goal next week, two or three will go in and we'll be fine. It's just getting that goal that lifts everyone. At the end of the day, it's up to us to produce. You can't rely on other teams drawing or losing.
"We knew here if we didn't get a point or three points, we could be in the relegation zone. That's happened and now it's up to us to put it right, which we can do.
"It's out of our hands but the other clubs have got extremely tough games. We have a tough game but I'm sure other teams in this situation would take our game. So we've got to use that to our advantage and be good players, be strong characters and go and win.
"We'll beat Derby, I've no doubt about that. Not because it's Derby, not because they're bottom, we're just going to play our best."
