Louis van Gaal reveals that Javier Hernandez will be staying put at Manchester United this summer.
Hernandez has been widely tipped to leave United on a permanent deal this summer, with Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United said to be interested in the services of the Mexican international.
However, van Gaal has now gone on to reveal that he intends to keep Hernandez at the club and the striker will be playing as the back-up to Wayne Rooney.
Van Gaal told reporters: "Our aim is to play with Rooney in the striker's position. We have chosen for him, and Chicharito to be the substitute, but he can also play because Rooney can also play No10.
"So he has a chance to play in the striker's position, but normally Rooney shall play because we have confidence that he can score more than 20 goals there. That is more than last year, of the strikers."
