Wayne Rooney has confirmed he will retire from club football as a Manchester United player.
Much has been written and spoken about Rooney's future with rumours regarding a possible shift to Major League Soccer or the Chinese Super League could be on the horizon.
However, the 30-year-old England captain insists he will not play elsewhere once his days at United come to an end.
"I will have a year left at United then (in 2018)," said Rooney.
"I've said to United I want to stay there, finish my career there, so it's a case of sitting down with United when the time's right.
"I've still got three years left. When I speak to them I'll have a better idea."
