Wayne Rooney is tipped to start for Manchester United tonight against Bayern Munich.
The Mirror says Rooney had a 40-minute shooting session late on Monday afternoon to suggest he is confident of playing in the Champions League quarter-final tie.
Boss Sir Alex Ferguson has maintained the England man has no chance of starting, but that seems to be an elaborate bluff, with Rooney happy to do a full training session after apparently recovering from the ankle injury he picked up in the first leg at Bayern.
Ferguson sprung a few surprises in training yesterday, with Darron Gibson and Nani also included in the starting line-up he used to go through the set-piece routines.
