Former Inter Milan striker Ronaldo has offered his support to Adriano after his decision to step away from the game.

Ronaldo, now with Corinthians, said: "This is a difficult moment for him.

"I will do whatever I can to help Adriano, but only in private, between the two of us. I won't be yet another person judging him.

"I am very sad to see what is happening, because there is a real lack of respect for this man. It's a tough time and we are all human, so people should look at themselves before judging others.

"Watching television pundits they all act as if nobody makes a mistake in their entire lives."
