Real Madrid's challenge against Cristiano Ronaldo's three-match ban has been rejected by the appeal committee of the Spanish football federation. Ronaldo was sent off in the 75th minute of Real's 1-1 draw with Athletic Bilbao.

According to reports in Spain, Real will now take the issue to the Spanish Sports Disciplinary Committee in a bid to get the midfielder's suspension reduced.
