Ronaldo gives mixed signals over Man Utd future

Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo has given mixed signals in the Spanish press over his ambitions to join Real Madrid.

In a post-match interview published in AS, Ronaldo declared he didn't care if he upset United manager Sir Alex Ferguson with his pending decision.

But then added, when asked how upset everybody in Manchester will be with his decision: "But that will pass. A couple of good goals and people will be happy.

"Yes, I will talk to the club first but it is not true [I refused to take a call from Ferguson during Euro 2008]. No [I haven't spoken to him], I was in a very important competition and we had nothing to say to each other."
