Corinthians want to bring Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez back to Brazil.
Tevez played for the Sao Paulo-based club for a year and a half before joining West Ham in August 2006 and has spoken warmly about returning.
They are already buoyed by signing three-time world player of the year Ronaldo and will seek use the same business model of finding sponsors to bankroll a deal for Tevez.
The idea excites Ronaldo, who said: "Tevez is a great player who fits with the style of Corinthians. The time that he spent here was undoubtedly great."
Tevez is a huge admirer of Ronaldo and once used to have a poster of the former Real Madrid and Barcelona player on his wall.
Ronaldo said: "We have met a few times, and he declared (admiration) for me. It makes me even happier because he is Argentine and it would be normal for Maradona to be his idol. It would be great if he returned."
