Romelu Lukaku proved the matchwinner for Inter Milan in victory at Cagliari.

Lukaku converted a penalty to win the game, but a section of the Cagliari support racially abused the former Manchester United striker.

“I'm very happy about these first two League victories and about tonight's success," he told Inter TV after the game.

“It was a tough match, we had to fight but that's what we'll have to do in every game, I'm happy for the team and for our fans.

“To score wearing this shirt is a great feeling, I want to help the team even more, through assists too: the goal is to continue like this."
