Roma youngster Edoardo Bove is grateful to coach Jose Mourinho for his playing chance this season.
Bove, 21, hopes to now secure a regular start under Mourinho.
He told Gianluca di Marzio: "Since I was a child, I have always been passionate about sport. In particular I loved playing tennis and football, although I was good at both sports I was forced to choose.
“Analysing the progress I have made, I feel I've taken the right path.
“I am experiencing strong, almost indescribable emotions. Like that of making it to Roma's youth team or scoring a goal at the Stadio Olimpico. What mattered most to me was having fun and playing the sport I love.
“Then, as I grew up, I understood the importance of playing at a club like Roma and I started to feel part of the team, also thanks to the chances Jose Mourinho gave me."
