Roma have added Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren to their summer shopping list.

Gazzetta dello Sport says Roma are planning to make a move to sign the 30-year-old this summer.

Roma view Lovren as a more affordable option than Chris Smalling, who is spending the season on loan from Manchester United.

Lovren, who almost left for Roma last season, was widely anticipated to leave at the end of the campaign and is also being linked with Tottenham.

He has just over a year left on his contract at Anfield.
